For some reason the switch enabling the rear heater/air con controls to function has been removed from my dashboard (the alarm indicator light has been installed directly below, so perhaps it got broken). Presumably all I need to do to enable the rear controls to work is to join two of the wires on the plug where the switch should be. I've got white and black (two off), blue, yellow, yellow and red, and green. Anyone any idea which pair I need to connect? Thanks. - (#24) Mike Rawson, 25 Feb 01

the rear heater is a two way switch, like a staircase light. Both the front and rear switches are "two way". According to my townie (1991 cr30), the colours are as follows
common= blue/black stripe, it's a blue wire out of the switch, then the two switch wires are white/black(+red ring) and yellow/black changing to yellow/white+red ring. Connecting either wire to common should bring the fan on, it'll still be controlled by the rear switch.
