(Home) Fuses

I have a 1990 Townace - Does anyone know which fuse is for which circuit. I appreciate I could try each one, but if someone know already it will save me a job! - (#67) Ian Powell, 14 Apr 01

Ian, the descriptions on the fusebox lid are quite accurate. Your job will be made easier soon when the translated wiring diagrams arrive, but in the interim, the owners manual form eurospec2000 amongst others lists them.
Email me direct if you need a scan of that page.

i was trying to replace a bulb in the front interior light, near rear veiw mirror.i must have shorted it out as now all the interior lights dont wok ,along with the radio and door chime.i checked every fuse in the fuse box, they where ok,so i checked the fuse on the radio, he was ok to,are there any more fuses any where else,i have tested the bulb holders and theres no power at all.my car is a liteace 2.2 t d,M reg.auto.any info would be a great help - (#1242) dave, 15 Oct 01

Dave. It might not be the same with your vehicle but, on my Masterace there is another fuse box with about 6 fuses (all, I think, fairly large capacity) behind the drivers seat. If the carpet is peeled back, there is a removeable cover plate on the "ridge" which crosses the vehicles. - (#1245) John Davis, 16 Oct 01

as i wrote before i need to find a feuse which has blown causing the interior lights, door chime, door open warning light and the radio to stop working.i have checked all the fuses in the fuse box and under the drivers seat and the radio all are ok,is the a relay which has some thing to do with it?.has anyone got a wireing diagram for a liteace 2.2 turbo diesel, auto,M reg ,which would be very handy as the mechanics in work are trying to help me find it are about to stip my car down to find the fuse.please help me if you can. - (#1268) dave, 20 Oct 01

i think the fuses are behind the glove box m8..if u unscrew the glove box off there are some fuses hanging around there.. - (#1269) granty33, 20 Oct 01

Fuses are in the fuse box, below centre of the dash, below heater controls on the pre-92 models. I don't think the newer ones are any different There will also be a control box, somewhere behind the dash.
The fuses under the seat are "master" fusible links. The fuse you are looking for is calles "DOME" - (#1270) David Miller, 20 Oct 01

I have a 1990 Liteace, there are two sets of fuses, one set are for lights only. They are situated on the drivers side, under the dash where there seems to be a set of relays. It is quite small and could be mistaken for a simple relay, but there is a removable cover revealing about six fuses. It is possible that your later liteace may be different, but it may be worth checking! - (#1275) Eagleneil, 21 Oct 01

If it is a Townace/Masterace etc, the fusebox is situated at the base of the dashboard, just in front of the gear lever. If you have a coolbox, this hides the fusebox somewhat but, the fuses are still accessible-just. There are also some fuses 4/5 I think, of large capacity (30amp plus) behind the drivers seat. Lift the carpet on the engine cover and remove the plate.

by the way, if at you the illumination of a lateral step does not burn and illumination of a back door - check up a rule(situation) of the switch on a lamp of a back door. if is not present - предохранители in a box behind a refrigerator or lever of the automatic device (mechanical box)...

Help! The electric mirrors and clock on my Townie have died. I've checked the fuses in the box under the dash but all ok there. Any ideas?

Check the relays that sit above the fuse box. Reset with a pin.
