Just got my DVLA vehicle details through for my Townace 2.0DT (Registered as an L Reg) never seen such a cock up in my life.
DVLA have given me the following
Vehicle Manufacture Date 1974
Vehicle Type 4 Door Saloon
Engine Number Not Specified
Fuel Type Petrol
Colour Silver
Now I know most of this is wrong and I have to change it but can anyone give me some pointers as to:-
A) Where I might find the Engine Number. Can find the Chassis Number as it is in the wheel arch on the drivers side.
B) What the vehicle type actually is.
C) My car is Dark Metallic Grey is this covered under Silver. - (#153) Russ, 19 May 01

Engine number should be on a plate on the RH side of the block behind the Alternator, IIRC.
Capacity is 1974cc
Type should be Estate (otherwise you'll need minibus insurance)
Colour shouldn't be a problem.
I don't know if anyone actually checks the engine no., it's hard to see.
