(Home) Parts - kent, east anglia, sidelights mot

Yesterday, I went to my local motorfactors to get oil and air filters. I expected that they would know nothing about my Townie, so I went armed with info printed out from this board.
To my amazement, they knew loads about Townies.
They had a book of part numbers and were able to give me the correct filters off the shelf. They also said that they have no problem getting most parts.
The motorfactors in question were "Ajays"
I know that they are in Kent and East Anglia, not sure about anywhere else.

By the way.........I put it in for it's mot this morning.
They immediately picked up on the side lights not working and said that it would fail.
I pointed out that it had been like that since purchase, and I was told by the dealership owner that this was normal for a Townie.
So I have left it with them while they struggle to check the wiring and come to a decision on whether it should have side lights or not.
The bulbs were removed before purchse and the wiring disconnected. - (#217) Steve Lewis, 26 May 01

If you put bulbs in those sidelights, you'll find they will illuminate if you put lights and indicators on- "cornering lights" There should be a wire to one of the front orange lamps that you can use to connect for sidelamps. - (#218) david miller, 26 May 01

All is well now, the garage that did the mot, took the time to sort out the wiring.
Apparently, it was a right mess.
Someone had made a big cock up.
Looks like my previous mot was illegal.
