I would like to change my gas guzzel 2ltr space cruiser engine for a deisel type. Is there a straight swap avalible that anyones knows. If it is not viable then can i change the twin choke carb for a better unit?

A 2-C out of a liteace will go straight in, any other 2-c or 2ct would need it's manifolds and accessories changed. What about a complete 2ct from a townie from BBC or the like?
The carb on the spacey is complex, loads of scope for problems. Try contacting your local Weber dealer (or Webcon uk) and see if they offer conversions.
