I am currently in the process of changing the diesel engine in my van. I have a 2ltr Diesel 2ct engine and have found one the same to replace it, as my wife drove the van and it overheated --but drove to the next motorway exit!.
My intention is to replace the headgasket prior to fitting the engine therefore I am trying to find out what settigs the haedbolts should be torqued down to and any teqhniical details that I can find in referance to timming the diesel pump, etc.----HELP! - (#405) gary drage, 2 Jul 01

Headbolts torque to 33lbf, +90o +90o.
Injection timing is 0.67- 0.73mm @tdc
