Slick 50 is one of the many engine oil additives on the market, like Wynns, STP etc., that manufacturers claim improve the life of your engine blah de blah de blah ....
It's a personal preference whether you use them or not. If you use a decent oil in the first place - semi or fully synthetic and change regularly, 3000 miles depending on use, then you should not need to be buying these additives.
