Sorry guy's but I have looked under the dash in the middle and I still have not seen one fuse yet am I missing something besides fuses!
also temp gauge still not working have noticed 3 sensors on the top of the engine near rad cap but don't know which one is for temp gauge ( probably the one you can't get at to remove) have tried to test wires to see which is which but no luck Please help?

the fusebox is a smallish black plastic lid, with two corners chopped off.
Re sensor, it'll have only one wire. The EFI sensor will have two.
Hmm, a thought has just occurred to me. The diesel townie has two sensors on top of the engine, they're thermal switches, and are linked to the aircon. Any chance that someone has transposed the wiring from the gauge sensor to one of these, and vice versa The gauge sensor should have a resistance, maybe 100 ohms or so, changing as the engine warms. The others would switch between open and closed circuit...
Shorting the wire to each sensor to the block should prove which one goes to the gauge, BTW - (#873) David Miller, 22 Aug 01

If its a townace the temp sender is right the themo' stat housing....
I had to re-wire mine as a garage doing an head job broke the wire, I had to replace about 12'inches of wire..
