(Home) Acceleration v. smoke

Hi My townace sends out a puff of smoke (in varying amounts) when I accelerate away after slowing down for corners/roundabouts etc. Otherwise the exhaust is clean.
I've tried changing all the filters (fuel/air/oil) but it is about the same.
So I thought I'd try getting it looked at by a pukka diesel engineer - does anyone have any recommendations for one near Bracknell/Reading, or is there any special classification I should look under in Yellow Pages for these?
Thanks

Actually, I wouldn't worry about that puff too much. I had mine tuned because it emmitted thick black smoke. Afterwards, it was running nice and clean - like a lame duck. I then applied some of the tuning tips provided here on the board. Now I only see this slight puff you describe (only visible in the reversing mirror), but it is going off like a storm. (Unless the sun shines, that is. For some reason, my engine does not like hot weather. Gets all a bit tired...)
So, if you are happy with the performance and the smoke is not too thick, you better leave the thing running as it is, there is not much to be gained.

Thanks for the advice.
You are probably right - it really doesn't usually give out too much of a puff of smoke. Sometimes it is worse than others though.
Just don't want to annoy the other drivers behind me too much!

Jim
Your's would have to be really bad to get anywhere near some of the buses and taxis that pollute our towns and cities. I wouldn't worry about it.
FWIW
