I have a 90 2litre turbo diesel super extra. When I turn with full lock on I get qute a heavy clonk through the steering. his only happens when turning hard to the left. Any suggestions? - (#1168) phil, 2 Oct 01

Easy! there's a plastic stop "stopper" on the knuckle that contacts the lower wishbone. It looks like a plastic domed nut. It'll be worn through. A quick fix is to slap some grease on it, but replacement will cure it for some time.
