We took our Townace to France on the Eurotunnel Shuttle this year [2001] and discovered that we had to pay about £60 extra because of the height of the vehicle. I discovered that there is a list of 'exceptions', i.e. vehicles over 1.85m which are allowed to travel at the rate charged to vehicles under 1.85m. I wrote to the MD of Eurotunnel, saying that there are more and more of these around, and he has agreed to add the Townace to the 'exceptions' list.
