Can anyone tell me if it is safe to drive with the sunroofs in the open position on my townace. Havent tried it as it looks like it could be an expensive part to replace if it was to blow out.

I have done this, albeit at slow speeds, and have had no problems. However, I suppose you know that they will lift right out, ie, the main two have hinges which can be "disengaged", and this, on a hot day, gives lots of ventilation and is not too noisy at speed. - (#1378) John Davis, 6 Nov 01

It's not advisable as you are going to create a lot of drag and windnoise and due to the positioning of the openings ie. to the side, you're not going to benefit an awful lot in terms of air circulation. Use your aircon, far more civilised!
