hi, i am in need of some help.... i have an e regd townace 2.0 turbo diesel (auto) the engine has started to excessivly smoke as in oil burning. (clouds of it) not from the turbo- i have checked.. it has high crank case back pressure, its only done 80k in klms.is this a sign of head gasket?.... also all the level warning lights come on when driving including alternator & turbo lights.. it also stops charging. this can be intermitent... is there a relay that causes the prob,, know one seems to know.. any info would be greatly appreciated..

The manual you have found may cover all the US and Canadian Toyota vans but none of these had diesel engines that are present in townaces from Japan. The petrol versions also never went lower than a 2.5 litre if the dealer knew what he was talking about. A possible positive could come from the interior and wiring which may be similar.
The file on the link that has been bantered about, is this the only one because none of it seemed relevant to the 2C-T diesel engines of the townaces. Although the section concerning the Model-F would be valuable to owners. - (#1499) Mark, 25 Nov 01

right folks ive posted up the link for all to get a copy of this great cd...and its comletly freeeee..
i know i might be braking copy right rules but i belive that this info is there for all to share and i bet there are a few overs who agree....when u click this link or copy it and paste on your address bar it will take u to my forum in there is the link...this cd ia a 30 day trial so grab as much info as possible before the 30 days run out..the cd alone costs £400..but we are not going to pay a penny.....when u order this cd u must give your addres so they can send it out....pretend to be a garage this helps and they think there going to make some dosh out of u when the 30 days run out...BUT i have the crack and it will make the cd last forever i will post the crack later ...come and post me on this forum so i will know how many of us are going to need the crack.......cheerrrsss

do you have detailed technical data on the toyota hiace
8 seat diesal automatic super custom 1992.I have faxed
a number in Japan I was given by Toyota GB for Toyota in Japan
hoping this will get to their technical department but I do
not know if they will reply and I need to know urgently.
We need to fit an extra seat in the back
but it is not possible to see if a bolt can be fitted
without removing both the spare wheel and the petrol tank. We
need to know if it there is going to be space before paying
the seat fitter to do this. We also need to know if the existing
runners would take an additional bench seat.

Catherine, give me the model number (LHxx-xxxx or similar) and if it's on my parts cd, I can give you that info. Toyota are helpful, but like to answer one question at a time- they normally like to contact Japan themselves...
Most dealers should have import cds now.

just to clarify the disks i have (3) contain tech data on nearly every motor thats out....this is tech data for engines ..torch settings and also service data ...most toyota models are there inc 4wd and diesal but if your motor is not the tech for say a previa might be the same engine as another model........if anyone wants a copy of these disks email me at granty33@ntlworld.com
