I have just bought a 93 LiteAce2.0TD and having trouble starting when very cold. Took it into my local garage and they said there where no amps getting to the glow plugs but had no answers to help solve the problem except take it to an auto electrician. Do the glow plug relays click on and off? There's one under the passenger seat, and one in the l/h centre pillar, beside the ECU. Check the wiring to the main relay (the underseat one). There should be permenant 12v to one of the big terminals. If not, check the fuseable link (fusebox under drivers seat). If there's a feed ok, check that the control wires are connected to the relay also.
After that, check the wiring up to the glow plugs inc. the resistor mounted in the inlet manifold.
