Injector? Remove pipes and the return pipe assy, then the injector comes out with a plug spanner.
Thermostat is in the neck that the bottom hose goes onto, above the a/c compressor. - (#1450) David Miller, 20 Nov 01

thank you for info
I also like to ask I was toled that I have to get new cam belt every MOT is that true
I am due to MOT soon and I need to know if I have to get a new cam belt when I got the bus I was informed by the seller that the cam belt was new
any one know about MOT nad the need for a new cam belt every time - (#1454) bigmoe, 20 Nov 01

It's advisory- the MOT smoke test involves revving the engine to the max, and there have been cases of timing belts failing during the test... - (#1456) david miller, 20 Nov 01

That's a bit excessive isn't it David? Toyota usually specify a change about every 60k miles. One could be extra cautious and change every 50k but every year seems a bit much.

I agree completely, Ian. But the garages are probably using the good old scare tactics...
And by advisory, I didn't mean that I advised it...
Good idea to take the top cover off and inspect the belt for tension and condition annually regardless of milage, though. - (#1464) david miller, 21 Nov 01

Why do toyota cam belt covers have genuine toyota stickers advising you to change the belt every 100,000 kms? - (#1478) Eagleneil, 23 Nov 01

That's what they reccommend. and for normal driving, it's more than likely OK. But free-revving to the limiter with an old belt is one sure way to expedite that cylinder head job... - (#1496) david miller, 25 Nov 01
