I would like to replace the standard radio cassette...... is this straight forward.... and if so how do you do this. Oh yes I have a 1990 townace 4x4

where the radio sits there is a plastic surround..undo the screws that hold this on.behind is 4 more screws holding the radio in take these out...at the back is 2 plugs one for the radio and 1 for the amp..now you will have to modifythis connection to suit your radio this is where all ur speaker wires are... - (#1526) granty, 29 Nov 01

Ralph, the screws Granty is refering to are in the instrument binnacle- above the speedo, pointing up. The whole panel then unclips. HTH - (#1534) David Miller, 1 Dec 01
