(Home) Glow plugs

Anyone had to replace glowplugs yet?
Just spent a frustrating morning trying source some. My Motorfactors don't recognise the Nippon Denso, Toyota or Champion part numbers.
I have sourced Champions at two other places but they want £19.50 and £14.50 each! I don't rate Champion plugs in jap engines so if I have to pay that kind of price I want NGK.
For reference
Toyota part # 19850-64020, Nippon Denso part# 067100-1690, Champion part # CH302.
Also found that the plugs for the Camry 2C are 7v so are different and no good. Someone please tell me they've used NGK and not paid a small fortune for them!
Thanks

Ian i've one in front of me, 067100 1690, 11v. What about some of the other brands- Lucas, Beru,(OEM VW) Bosch, FAI(somebody elses reboxed...)
You've got to get under a tenner! Closer to a fiver please. You're letting the side down!!

Hey David please, no one hates spending money on cars more than me. These 3 places are normally my best suppliers. The Motorfactors which is my preferred option can't help me because they don't have a part number they can translate to NGK. That's why I hoped someone else may I have bought some. The only numbers I have to go on are the Champion (ugh) and the Denso and Toyota numbers that are stamped on the original plugs in the car. So any idea of alternative part numbers please?
And yes, I'll test the plugs first if they are going to cost anything like £15 each!!
Thanks

I traced my glow plugs back to NGK Y703-R which are the same as used in the 1990 Carina. The original ND plugs had reference number 076100-1690 on them and I cross referenced them to the NGK number above.
To give you a further shock, I only tried Halfords for the price of the NGK glow plugs and they wanted £29 each so that put me right off. I eventually got a cheaper alternative for about £6 through my works stores.
They've been in for over a year now and I've had no problems with them at all.

Thanks Mark that's really helpful - now I need to find someone who stocks them!

I have just pulled the glow plugs out of my 1C engine as part of replacing the cam belt etc and find that the thread on two of them is damaged. The crest of the thread is worn off or burred over.

I can't see how this can happen in an aluminium head. Does anyone know - are there steel inserts in there?

Second question is does anyone know the thread? I thought if I could get a die, I could just clean the threads up.

Third - has anyone bought glow plugs in New Zealand and know the best source. So far I have been quoted around $25 including gst.

Thanks
Russell
