(Home) Windscreen washer bottle

Sorry to ask such a stupid question, I have found a windscreen washer bottle at the rear (when the tailgate is opened) does this feed the front washers as well or should I be looking for another bottle?
To cold outside to spend to long looking this morning!!!!!!!!!! - (#1691) Steve, 23 Dec 01

Yes , the washer bottle that you found at the rear does work both front and rear washer systems, if it doesn't then i'm yet to find another bottle anywhere.

This bottle is for both front and back washers and don't be surprised about the amount of screenwash it takes. It's a good few litres to fill it up. - (#1693) Mark, 23 Dec 01

if anyone finds that the front washers are not working and the rear bottle is full...
I had this problem and the leak seemed to be at the rear. It turned out to be a weak link above and just behind the drivers head along the inner gutter, and the leaking water was travelling all the way back to the rear before revealing itself
i.e. leak at opposite end to the evidence - (#1694) skippy, 23 Dec 01

Just quickly what is the best way of gaining access to the water windscreen washer bottle on the masterace i.e. removing the trim.

Thanks for any help!

I may be wrong, but I think that the bit of trim that you need to remove to gain unhindered access to the washer bottle requires the removal of the following:-
Right hand rear lower curtainrail
Right hand rear seat belt lower mounting bolt

you should then be able to prise away the lower plastic trim complete, be careful not to snap the push in clips, probably best done with a flat blade screwdriver or the proper trim tool (available from any good factor/car accs shop). Once removed I beleive that the washer tank is quite accessible through the two metal skins in the back. HTH Rob.

See Townace.com - Bodywork - John Corfield project - RH rear speaker, wash bottle picture, to get an idea of where and how it's fitted.
The amp thing with a load of wires attached may not be in your model, if it is it can be released and pulled to one side.

Thanks for your help- sorted the water bottle! Changed feeds from rear washer supply to front supply, now working, hope this will get me through the MOT. Then will sort pump later.... cheers
