(Home) Bodywork. Legroom.......or rather lack of it

I have a 1990 townie 4x4 and most of the time i am pleased with it . However i bought this particular mpv over the others for two reasons.
1 Value for money compared to equipment levels of other makes of mpv.
2 Amount of internal space as i have four children and a large German Sheperd . The space behind the third row of seats is finde compared to .... say a espace
but i am now begining to have problems with the legroom
I must admit that when i bought the townie i didn't sit on any of the back seats. The drivers seat is a bit cramped but with the adjustable steering wheel its ok.....Oh yes at this stage i should point out the i am 6'3".
But sitting in the back ido not find particularly comfortablle due to the low seat height. This in the main des not cause too many problems but two of my children are teenages and fairly tall for their ages of 15 and 17 and they don't find it very comfortable and prefer to sit on the rear seats of my wifes Feista.
I have tried putting pillows on their seats to raise the seat height this makes the legs more comfortable but they loose out on back comfort.
Any ideas .......????
Ralph
Ps I have looked at the inside of a space crusier and its seats semed to be quite a bit higher.... which seems weird as it has a much lower a roof - (#1739) Ralph Penny, 30 Dec 01
