(Home) Mirror on the back v. Car wash

The bigger the car the better the value at a car wash. Any experience, good or bad, regarding the mirror on the back?
Alternatively is it straightforward to unscrew it and then re-fit it i. e. do 4 nuts fall down inside the tailgate, or not?
I'd have to take off the antenna - no clip and probably not adequate anyway - but that's easy, same as at a game park. - (#2101) Dave Mason, 5 Feb 02

The rear mirror just unbolts. The nuts are captive nuts on the tailgate, so they don't fall inside. The mirror was the first thing I got rid of! - (#2106) Phil Jones, 5 Feb 02

use a bit of string or velcro to fastern your mast down.. - (#2124) Paul Morgan, 5 Feb 02

as you have got rid of your mirror, would you consider selling it, i'm after one! - (#2629) eddie arrowsmith, 2 Apr 02
