(Home) Alarm - all better now

Just to get you all up to date, following the disasterous fitting of the CAT1 alarm on our Townie last week, the auto electricians have had the vehicle back today & have now rectified all it's woes. Now the cassette deck turns off with the ignition, the c/locking unlocks & locks with the alarm, AND the interior locking switch works, thanks to them putting a couple of relays in the circuit. I've even programmed the alarm to lock the doors when you start up & unlock when you switch off, with the switch able to override either of these conditions. So alls well that ends well (and let's hope it does end there). Thanks for listening to my bedtime story, bye bye children, bye bye. Rob. - (#2118) Rob Drinkwater, 5 Feb 02

Hi Rob, i've just had the same problem with my Clifford alarm/immob. fortunately they sorted the problem out, only after assistance from the guy who designs the electronics for Clifford systems!
Reading the list of quiries posted about this problem, there seems to be quite a number of people with similar probs after having an alarm fitted with remote central locking etc. Have you got the circuit diagram that gets around the door locking switch problem? If you have could you post it for people to see or if not i will try & get the circuit diagram from the guy who installed my system, if he won't let my have a copy because of copyright etc then i will trace all the extra wires on my masterace, but if i can avoid this i will because thats not as easy as it sounds! Bye for now,
