(Home) Courtesy light delay & lights on warning

Dear All,
I was showing a friend all the equipment that our Townie has, including the electric curtains, when he asked me why it hasn't got a courtesy light delay on the front courtesy light or a lights on warning, to help remind you you have left the lights on when you exit the vehicle. With the extensive array of equipment on these fine vehicles, I was also quite surprised, but had never really thought about it. So my question is (Eventually) does anyone elses Townie have these functions on them? If so, where is the controller located? Mine is a 1991 model, did they only put them on the later, new shape models?
Replies please!!!
P.S. It has the 'ignition switch illumination lamp' which stays on for a few seconds after closing the driver's door, so if it has this, should it have the functions listed above??
Thanks guys. Regards Rob. - (#2176) Rob Drinkwater, 9 Feb 02

No they don't, but it's not a big job to fit them - (#2180) david miller, 9 Feb 02

Thanks Dave, have already fitted one from a Rover to the rear courtesy lamps, which hold them on for 12 seconds then switches off. Not one of those ones that just goes across the earth, so I'll get another from a scrappers & fit it to the front courtesy lamp as well, as regards the lights on warning I'll get a piezo buzzer from Maplin & fit it across the driver's door switch & the side light wire in the steering column. regards Rob. - (#2182) Rob Drinkwater, 9 Feb 02

Cheaper to pocket a lights on buzzer the next time you're at the scrappy!!! PSA use a nice one that plugs into the fusebox...
Oh and be careful when wiring up, most of the light switches on the Toy switch negative... - (#2185) david miller, 10 Feb 02
