I have excessive play from the universal joint on the propshaft going into the rear diff.(2.0td masterace manual rwd). With the vehicle on the ground you can turn the prop. about an inch other way from its resting position, probable wear on the prop. splines going into the diff.
Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, how much did it cost to put right/where to get parts etc.
Any info would be of great use, hope someone can help,

Might be the big nut holding the flange on come loose. It should be TIGHT and staked- if it's slack, the play will be inside the diff... - (#2196) david miller, 11 Feb 02
