I have just replaced the belt on my b reg cruiser, can any one tell me what the tension should be on the new belt - (#2241) chris, 17 Feb 02

If it's any help, the deflection on a new p/s belt, on the Masterace (2C-T engine)is between 7.5 & 9.5 mm with 10KG effort. It might be different on the Spacecruiser however and, perhaps, someone else can advise - (#2245) John Davis, 17 Feb 02

New belt = 7-9mm @10kg
Used belt = 9-13mm @10kg
Used belt means fitted with engine running for more than 5 minutes.
