(Home) Vacuum hose

My engine td 2tc is ticking over at 1100 rpm, I have checked ac, idle up, and have adjusted cable and stop on injection pump. Still will not go below 1100 rpm?
I am thinking a missing vac hose may be the problem?
The connection runs from the small metal junction near airfilter and just as you open up the engine cover on passenger side, it is right there. The hose from the vac pump runs across the engine tees off into this little gismo. There was a hose on there but where it would of run to I have no idea? This may or may not be the cause of the 1100 rpm, any ideas? - (#2326) Harry, 23 Feb 02

There is a diaphragm device on the front of the injection pump for idle up- it should only have vacuum applied to it if the aircon is on, or the idle up switch is depressed. A thermostatic device sits under it, linked to the cooling system. That operated the same linkage to increase idle when cold. Is there slack in the linkage when warm? - (#2331) david miller, 24 Feb 02
