On my Liteace I recently noticed, after picking it up from the garage that the engine noise was much greater than ususal. I investigated and discover than the 'bonnet', as it were, upon which the passenger seat is seated, was not closing properly on the right-hand side, with both the footwell clips closed - one of which was now v. tight and one loose. It is as though the 'bonnet' has become warped at some time.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any solution?
I noticed a piece of thick wire, on the right side, which looked almost like it ought to be clipped onto by something to hold down the side more tightly, but I could not see any corresponding clip. Am I overlooking something?

john, on my townace, presumably applies to others as well, i have to push the drivers seat forward & also release the backrest before the engine cover can be released, smoothly, it may well be that someone has tried to open the cover without doing this & the cover has been twisted slightlyr,or the ight hand side has been bent, hence the loose clip, - (#2523) john collier, 13 Mar 02
