i have a 2.0td 1994 new shape townie.and have an electrical problem.when i to go start my van all the igniton lights come on it then starts first go.but the igniton lights stay on and the buzzer comes on.it still works. if i take the gauge fuse out and run without it.it works fine when i put the fuse back.the lights go out.the alternator has just been renewed about 18months ago and worked fine up to about a week ago. - (#2524) tony, 13 Mar 02

Is the spring in the ignition switch ok. Is the key being forced back to the 'on' position fully.
