I have just replaced rear shock absorber bushes bottom.
Very easy to. I had a knocking for about 8 weeks from the back before I found what it was.
Anyone interested in the main Toyota part numbers here they are.

T90385-16009 Shock bush £4.18 each.
T90341-12012 Oil sump plug £4.24
T90430-12028 Gasket for drain plug. £1.22

Paint need colour/trim i.e. 168
Twin airspray colour and lacquer £5.91.
Twin touch-up brush colour and lacquer £4.21.

All plus vat.

Unfortunately my info only goes up to early 1992 models ie. the model before yours. Part # for that is 48531-80069 (subs 80603). Also you have to buy the full sub-assembly ie. nut, bolt, washer and bush.

They could be the same but not worth shelling out at a dealer in case they are wrong. The way dealers work with many import parts is that they want your money up front and won't exchange if wrong.

I would recommend you try taking one of the bushes off and take it to a decent factor and see if they can match with something else. You may get lucky if it matches with a Ford or the like - cheap and readily available.

Just had my bushes replaced-anti rollbar top bushes the garage i use got them from toyota £5.55 each fitted them for a £20 Job done parts inc of price

ordered rear lower bushes from toyota £5.50 for the 2 just had to give chasis number ten minutes to fit

I replaced the bushes on our Townie with some Morris Minor front suspension bushes that had been sitting (unused) in the garage for years. Perfect fit.
