(Home) Spacecruiser manual and questions (Sp+)

Does anybody know either where I can get hold of a workshop manual for my G reg Model F Auto Spacecruiser or the answers to the following questions?
Where in the engine's cooling system is the thermostat located and what sort of gaskets are involved in locating it?
What order do you bleed the brakes?
I have an oil leak high up on the drivers side of the engine which is not coming from the head gasket. This leak is only really noticeable on long journeys . Is it possible that it could be coming from the oil pressure sensor and if so how easy is it to replace?

Interesting to see Spacecruiser questions back in fashion. To answer your questions Richard:
Manual - Try your Toyota dealer and ask them to get you RM017E on back order. However its rumoured that this is no longer in print.
Thermostat - its inside the water inlet on timing chain case. Drain, disconnect outlet hose from water inlet. Remove 2 nuts, water inlet, gasket and thermostat. Check for open at 80 - 84 degrees and 8mm valve lift. Ensure jiggle valve is to the top when refitting.
Brakes - no sequence specified so recommend age-old sequence applies ie. bleed longest pipe run first to shortest last and repeat until no bubbles. After cylinders, bleed the Load Sensing and proportioning by-pass valve (to nearside rear IIRC) if you have one.
Oil leak - the sensor is below the oil filter. It's just like removing a bolt. Careful not to damage electrical connector. As ever with these vehicles, the problem is access. If you suspect it to be this you could try 1. tightening slightly 2. Remove and wrap threads with PTFE tape, it should stand the high temperature.

Can anyone help me please After just aquiring a 1988 model f sapacecruiser we seem to have a problem with the electric windows not working nor the moonroof we have been told there are 2 fuseboxes but cannot find the second one If there is one?In the box in the front there is no problem can anyone suggest anything Please

Michelle
Sounds like a fuse with having multiple components down. The second set of larger rated fuses are behind the driver's seat. Seat forward and tilted forward. Lift carpet back and remove inspection cover. Fuses tucked underneath to rear.

According to the Model F wiring diagran (thanks, Ian) both sunroof and windows operate off the "PWR" circuit braker. It'll be one of the oval shapes things beside the fusebox under the dash. Pull it out, stick a bent paperclip or similar into the hole in the top. It should reset with a click. Plug it back in and try, if it clicks off again, you've a fault somewhere

I sadly had to let my 'spacy' go to someone who promised they would look after it (I've got a Toyota Lucida(import Previa) now and I'm having a bigger headache trying to get a manual for that- it's not the same as the UK variant). He wan't mechanically minded but had a good local garage, so he didn't want the two Toyota Manuals that I've got. One covers the YR2(MODEL F) chassis and body(part no.36209E) and the other covers the engine(series 1Y,2Y,3Y AND 4Y units and their various related models) (part no. RM017E). I was fortunate enough to get these from my local dealer and cost me nearly £60.
If you'd like them, give me a call an make me an offer on them in the region of £40 for the two.

I have the Y engine and manual gearbox manual for anyone who wants to make me an offer for it, used and in a ring binder.
I've removed the autobox section and am keeping the body part one as the nearest I can get for my 2WD Townace
