I'm thinking of buying a touring caravan,

I've a 2.0Turbo Diesel 4wd 1990 Townace auto.

Has anybody any info or experience of towing caravan

and whether I would need a oil cooling kit fittedfor gearbox overheating.

I've towed a 600 kg trailer tent with mine; not a load of fun on the motorway but it does it. Pulls up hills very slowly. I know of people who have overheated their trans fluid and shagged the box while towing, so a cooler is highly recommended. Can't offer any advice on whether you need a Toyota branded one I'm afraid. - (#2717) SteveFE, 10 Apr 02
