Am unable to find a workshop manual for a 1989 1500 petrol engine Liteace van - Clutch master cylinder leaking into driver's footwell (need to lose an awful lot of weight to gain access) any sensible suggestions/help would be much appreciated on both problems.

Best access should be through the hole in the dash that the instruments fit into(according to the chiltons manual) although the dash might have to come out..There's some air ducts to remove too. It's probably best to replace rather than rebuild.
