My vehicle is a CR30 manual box Town Ace. I have a hole in a metal pipe which is part of the cooling system, this pipe can be seen through the drivers side wheel arch, I think it goes to the front rad.
Would it be possible to cut out the holed part and reconnect the metal pipe with a lengh of suitable hose and clips?

Hah! I've just had the very same problem. If you can get to it then your solution is reasonable. The pipe is about 15mm. My leak was nearer the end and a T-piece and I had to make up a new piece of pipe with copper plumbing fittings and connect it in with rubber pipe. Had to remove the floorpan to get to it. There isn't much room in there. Hope your's is easier.

Yes. The metal pipes are used at several points but can be replaced completely by hose. They are just bolted on.
