just doing the cam belt change and noticed a seal weep from the cam seal .. took the seal out . but it dont have a seal number .. anyone managed to get one before? ..my local parts supliers tell me its an special size which is peculiar to toyota ..

Is yours a 2CT Diesel engine, if so then Toyota part number 90311-38025 is the one for engines 8/1988 - 10/1990, or 90311-38044 (Superceded by 90311-38061) is the one for engines 10/1990 - 1/1992. I have had a look at the oil seal book I have & there is no listing for the 2CT engine, so you'll almost certainly have to visit your Toyota dealer & use the above numbers if he can't look them up for you. I have had various spares from Bullivants of Derby, Tel 01332 671000. They sell Town/Masteraces etc and repair and maintain them. They might be able to help or advise you on availability of this seal.

thanks all .. managed to get one(cam seal 90311-38025) from Toyota Leeds . very helpful they were too. Unlike Toyota in Pontefract who ordered it and said wait 2 weeks . went to the leeds dealer who ordered it and it came in 2 days! .. got the infamous woodruff key for the crank pulley (90280-05004) and the crank pulley bolt (90105-12097). phew peace of mind can have a torturous route can,t it
