First can i say what a brilliant site this is.
I have a townace super extra 2.0 turbo diesel 1991 with auto box.I have noticed for some time that the oil has changed colour from red to brown so i am planning to change the oil does anyone now if there is a filter in the box, if so can i get it from a toyota deeler, will i need a part no.If not where can one be purchased.

You'll need to get the filter from the dealer, but in reality, giving it a wash out will do the job. Be careful, though, it's a very fine mesh.
