(Home) Warning. Charge + rad lite stay on +ded

Help me please....I,m being driven to distraction by my ,88 Townace 2litre petrol (royal lounge)
The charge light and the radiator light stay on and the alternator won,t charge the batteryand to top it all I can,t even find the dmn fuse box!!!
similar thing happened about 6 months ago and when the alternator was replaced it cured the problem. However i,ve just had the alternetor checked and that is fine.theres plenty of water and coolant in the system with no leaks. any help appreciated + wheres the fuses.

Paul this has just happened to me. My 92 townie was in the repairers after an accident and when i went to pick it up i was informed the battery was flat, a new battery was fitted but nothing happened, the sparks checked the fuses and said no probs there i showed him the fuse box under the drivers seat.

Now to cut a long story short, the first two fuses nearest the drivers door just pull out, but here is the sneaky bit the remaining three fuses are bolted in,to get access to them first unbolt the fuse box from the body then at the top and bottom or front and back there are 2 flip up covers to remove each fuse you must undo the top and bottom bolts, I reccommend that you disconnect the battery first coz if you fry the wiring it will all have to be replaced and your other half will kill you! take one fuse off at a time obviously make sure you have new ones. If your alternator is not charging the battery i think you will find the fuse has blown, it is the 120amp fuse i think the middle one, but i would if you have gone to all the hassle of getting this far you might as well change them all.

sorry it is so long winded but I hope it helps
