(Home) Insurance

My insurance renewal is due. Last year was my first year with a Litace ( 40+, 1992, full no claims ). I found most companies would not cover Northern Ireland, where I am a resident! Last year in desperation I settled for Endsleigh who Quoted me £550. This year the renewal premium is up to £780 and they say ( "We look forward of being of SERVICE TO YOU again." ---- Why do I feel like the prostitute! ) Can anyone help out with information on companies who will cover me here? I have looked at the prevoius threads on this subject and I am not aware that any of the companies referred to actually cover NI except Endsleigh. Posted in Hope!

Hello,

If you go back to the home page via the link at the bottom of the messageboard you will find a page for insurance showing various quotes for different visitors. There are a number of companies that do offer insurance quotes for our vehicles but this page may save you some shopping around. If you find a set of details that are similar to your own then it will give you an idea of cost.

Try Tesco Insurance (www.tesco.com), they were amongst the cheapest & very helpful, plus my Mrs works for them so we got an additional 10% off for that.

Try the Farmers Union - Brighton/Lewis branch. I insure through them for a Toyota Super Custom which is a Hiace people carrier to you and me . Diesel 3.0l Engine 4WD. £218 for fully comprehensive and a named driver - but I have 6 years no claims.

Frizzells with my traffic points for going over road works red lights (could not find a colour i liked) ie 3 points was £214 plus £10 for monthly buget direct debit. Home is in somerset. Hard standing at night. No immobiliser needed. Also i told them about this site and if anyone else is interested email me first and you and myself will get a extra bonus.I will tell you how.Hope this helps. Phil

You know, all these bargain policy postings are great, but Stephen's problem, and mine too, is that none of the damn companies everyone raves about will cover this region of theUK... United my a**

I didn't have any joy with budget (been with them with other vehicles for over 6yrs) I managed to insure through e-sure £327 fully comp, Self and spouse 8yrs NCB, inc NCB protection. £360 for instalment payment.
Sorry I don't know if they cover N.I.
