(Home) Central locking problems

I hope someone can help me.
I have a problem with my centralblocking for my 91 Townace.
When I try to unlock the doors it works, but it won't
allow me to lock them.. Does this have anything
to do with the wiring?

try the relay m8....could be either this not making contact or the actual switch on the selonoid.....try spraying some wd40 or equiv on it....

I too have a 91 Townace Royal Lounge and have a similar problem, When I try to unlock the doors only the drivers door unlocks and I have to unlock the other doors with the switch inside but when I come to lock the doors the central locking locks all doors fine.
Also the red door warning light on the dash stays on all the time unless you lock the doors after you get in which I don't like doing for safety reasons if you're in an accident.

The warning light is doing what it's supposed to do. When you're unlocking the doors, are you using the switch or the lock button? Townies don't have a switch in the lock mech., so pushing/ pulling on the button won't do anything. If it's the switch isn't working, check the switch, wiring, then it would have to be one of the relays in the control box.

The central locking on my '90 Townace also seems faulty. Unlocking/locking the drivers door only effects the drivers door. The switch on the armrest must then be used to lock/unlock the other doors. Should the townace central locking operate as all of the other cars on the planet?

There is a motor in the drivers door, but no switch. So the way to operate all locks is with the doorlock switch
