Come on folks , give me a hand here, please look at your alternater wiring , the clip in connection that I broke the three wires off . I wan.t to start my van.

Alan, the reason why no-one has replied is that your colours don't match any of the wiring diagrams we have sight of. But the white wires look like they should be the outputs. Is there another big terminal on the side of the alt., and is the connector you speak of on a flying lead or plugged in to the rear of the alt?
On mine,(awkward to see without lifting the floor...) there's a flying lead with a round 3-pin. White black, White red, blue. But the colours match on both sides of the connector

David . yes there is another terminal on the back of the alternator ,with one round cable with 2 heavy white wires going to wiring harness , these are still connected and okay.
It is the oblonge connecter I broke the wires on.
marked on alternater E, F. N.
Garage that fixed alternater said they were E earth F Feed,. N to warning light.
I just need to confirm which wire goes into which E F N on alternater.
I will try to unload picture at www.abplumbing.fsnet.co.uk at link toyota liteace
Thanks ab

F= Field

Alan, looked at the connector. Does your van have an external voltage reg, or built into the alt? If it's an external reg, those three wires run straight to it, and the reg. should be marked. I believe this is the case, as the terminal notation doesn't match the internally regulated type (ig, r, b, l)
No idea where the re. resides, though.

As an aside, I have friends who teach in Dalgety Bay...
