Lynn

Despite storing loads of useless facts in my head, current prices for shocks isn't included. Phone around your local motor factors for prices and availability. They should be easily sourced and cost a lot less than the dealers.

Shocks for a spacecruiser will fit... £25- £50 each depending on brand, I'd think

Can anyone help me with a small problem?
At the MOT last May comment was made that the shock absorber rubbers at the bottom of the shocks are well worn and floatinf around in the bushes.
BBC spare say that the rubbers to replace them are NOT available, hence giving me the oportunity to replace the shocks(TEMS) at £140 each.
The shock are working well and do not need replacing.
Has anyone out there change these bushes(rubbers) any advice please or solutions???

Regards All,
Barry

Barry, you might get generic rubbers at your local factors- measure one, and ask if they do Pearl Products

Barry, I changed both mine about 4 weeks ago.
Easy to do and I would advise gen toyota ones.
I can find the part number if you need and the price was approx £2.50 each.
I can also tell you an easy way to change them.
Have you had a knocking from the back that sounds worse inside.
Mine is a 1990 royal lounge with tems.
Hope this helps. Phil

Barry, The BBC price seems a bit steep. I got my two front TEMS s/abs from the local Toyota dealer at £101 each. However, if the absorbers are OK, Davids suggestion is the way to go. Most factors will have a variety of rubber bushes and, if you measure yours carefully, you are sure to be able to match them. Some sort of press, or a bolt with large washers and a nut will pull them in or, use the bench vice.
