(Home) Service - SE London, fuel leak

Just thought you may want this info on a couple of good garages in London/Southeast with Townace experience.

1) PS Autos, Frenches road industrial estate, Redhill, Surrey, 01737 789400

Does all my servicing, MOT's and minor repairs, but he wont touch fuel pumps. He has always been extremely honest with me about what he's done and what needs/does not need doing. He also won't shaft you on cost of parts, in fact he often prefers it if you supply the parts for him to fit, as it saves him the time and hassle of ordering and chasing up import parts.

2) Tower Bridge diesels, London, sorry don't have their full details with me, but should be in Yellow pages.

Fixed a Fuel leak on my Super extra for £60 ! I called several other diesel fuel specialists before trying them, they all quoted around £200 for a new fuel pump. As I thought it may be a warranty claim job (Turns out it wasn't due to wear and tear get-out), and these dealers wouldn't deal with warranty firms, I gave Tower bridge a ring and he said "Very unlikely that it needs a new pump, if it's what I think it is (degraded O'ring) it'll be about £60 and it's very unlikely that you'll be able to claim on the warranty" and he was true to his word despite the fact that I would have been none the wiser if he had charged me for a new pump !

The fuel pump perfectly understands also linings old vary! If flows from the screw of a regulator of an accelerator - here it is possible only to remove(take off) the top cover and to change a rubber ring! Is in detail described on page of my site
