I thought I would pass this info onto you all. My local garage Hodges Bros in Bevois Valley Southampton, tel 023-8023-0665 are very good although not import specialists they will go out of their way to help.

Although I have not used him yet if you live in Hants give this guy a try he seemed willing to help and freely offered advice. Finally I believe I have found a mobile mechanic in Waterlooville who has some experience with 4wd townies, I don't have his name and number to hand at the moment but if he does the job I will post is details.

Marc, read your post & thought i'd let you know of the Toyota Dealer that i use. I Live in Gosport.
WKB TOYOTA in Waterlooville, 023 92233888, have only used them for parts, as i do all my own servicing, but i can honestly say that they have been the best garage that i have ever dealt with over the past 15 years.
They always go out of their way to help & get me the right parts. They have ALWAYS phoned me back to let me know that parts have arrived & have always been the correct parts etc.
Also, WKB recommend a mechanic that they sometimes give work to for these vehicles, so he must be good if the main dealer have recommended him. His name is;
Stuart Sandy 01489 877125 (Droxford) - haven't needed to use him myself yet, but as you know with this type of vehicle, the more info you can get hold of, the better.

Car Tech,Victoria Business Centre,Leigh Place,Welling,Kent.I recently used them for several repairs to the dashboard(attempted theft of CD player)and replacement of suspension bushes.They can carry out most repairs but no bodywork.They are helpful,friendly and their hourly rates would seem to be about 25 pounds an hour.
