It's amazing how answering questions on this site can make you go & look at your own vehicle & discover a problem. Now to the question, I can't find the oil pressure switch on the engine, I think it is on the passenger side of the block, but where, is it buried under the diesel injection pump or somewhere. It is just below the housing that the oil filter screws onto. Drivers side of the block.

Yes, got mine out from under - arm's length, finger tips, no room to move spanner once in place - and found it to be just a dirty connection. Suggest you try a squirt of WD40 or the like on the connection first. Easier than taking the floor out.

Thanks to Dave & Clive for the advice on the whereabouts of the oil pressure switch, as Clive says, Toyota did their best to hide the thing, but after much searching I found it, concluded I could get to it more easily from the smaller inspection hatch behind the driver's seat, reached down, removed much skin, and was able to put the wiring connector back onto the sender, after realising it uses a button type connector, not a more traditional spade connector. All warning lamps now present & correct, and I'mm off to Ashford Hospital for some skin grafts on my arm. Regards Rob.
P.S. Thanks to whoever it was that started the thread on the oil warning lights, without that I probably wouldn't even have noticed the oil pressure light wasn't working.
