Yellow fog lamps are perfectly legal & are not even part of the MOT, as they are an 'optional extra' there has been much discussion on this forum about the foglamps, some leave them yellow, some put standard 21w clear bulbs in, and some have done as I have & put a special hybrid bulb in that has the same bayonet base as standard but with the 55w halogen top that you would find on a normal car spotlamp bulb, I have found this makes an excellent if pricy upgrade.HTH Rob.

They aren't usually a stock item and will need to be ordered. 'Guardian' I think is the supplier. You will need to find a specialist autoelectrical factors, probably a Lucas agent will do. Ask for a 55W halogen on a standard bayonet base, cost is about £11 per pair - not cheap.
I bottled it when I bought mine, being scared of blowing the wiring or melting the lamp so went for 21W halogen on same base. To be honest they are no more than day running lights. Rob seems to be doing ok with the 55W so if I ever blow one of mine I'll upgrade.
