I have a 1991 Town Ace. Recently I have heard a knocking in the front left side when going over sharp bumps or when turning. I have checked under the front and have found nothing to be loose, but I still hear a solid thud over bumps or when turning (not in full lock). Any help is appreciated.

Probably be a ball joint also check for badly worn bushes at the base of the shock absorber. Could also be steering arm bushes

we have same problem. check anti roll bar link arm bushes if you are not sure where to find pop into local garage and get them to check as i did and was told it was not dangerous
