You can get a radiator re-cored for less than £100, most parts shops/factors will know who or be an agent, otherwise used from one of the spares places listed on Townace.com. New will be expensive.

New is over £400!!!! The end tanks can give problems- deep drawn brass, and they can embrittle and go porous... I had mine recored and a couple of cracks brazed up at the same time, but the r/h one started leaking again a while back. Tried soldering it, but the brass was so porous I couldn't get it cleaned well enough to tin properly. Radweld didn't work, but Bars Leaks did. One tiny bottle, first time!

Why do you need a new radiator? Is it because you have a leak in the core? If so then seek out a local outfit that will recore it for you (yellow pages). They should also be capable of any welding required. Cost should be less than £100. Far cheaper than a new one which you would need to source from a dealer no doubt.

I agree with Ian on this one. The rad on my Liteace was leaking but a recore fixed it and it has been fine for the last 3 years - touch wood.

if you must have one then millennium motor spares have one in a scrap vehicle 01977 614567(they post). watch out for the tanks at each end which split due to work hardening of the metal - a recore is about a £100 - be mindfull of the integral oil cooler in the passenger side of the rad too, it sports a couple of small hoses - regards jim

There’s a chap in Bournemouth called Chris Goldup who is breaking his Townace. He has an advert on the archives under for sale. Give him a ring or send an email. Make sure it’s the correct size as the 2wd is bigger than the 4wd if I remember. Failing that try to get yours re-cored.
Hope that helps
