I have a 2Y1810 petrol engine in a lite-ace, 1900cc or there abouts. In an Aug '89 body

Does this engine have a timing belt, or chain driven, I know some of them have chains, on certain uk models.

As far as I'm aware, ALL petrol Townaces are Overhead valve engines, therefore they have a short chain running the side camshaft. Only the Diesels are OHC and therefore have a belt. So no worries for you there. Engine size is 1812cc incidentally. HTH Rob.

NGK Spark Plugs will be BPR5ES or BPR5E (v groove)
the ones you have in are of gold palladium type, hence the 'R' for Racing in the upper bit of the ceramic & the 'P' at the end, can't see you need to spend about £10 per plug, when the whole set of the ones listed above will be around that price. Hope this helps. Regards Rob.

Thanks your a star, the plugs for racing seem a bit over the top i agree, not exactly a bullet machine!
