if you are just draining and refill about 2ltr then run up and check adding as required. if an overhaul about 4ltr and same process. do not over fill!!

Thanks Clive but rather than gauging it myself I was hoping someone could tell me - I am not draining and refilling, I am going to add some friction reducer to my transmission box and the amount depends on the capacity.
I have already used this stuff in the engine and it has cut down the noise tremendously.

Beware! Autoboxes need friction to work... Is it specifically for autos? Book says 2.5l at change
