Chris

Order a handbook from Eurospec2000 (there are others) for about £22. It details what you want and other stuff. Details can be found on townace.com or Townacenutters site. Mention this site and I think you qualify for a discount.

Help needed, I have a 1987 Liteace with a warning light problem, all the warning lights below the speedo have started to come on and off at regular intervals. The engine performance doesn`t seem to be affected as yet, any help would be appreciated.

Alternator brushes- the lamps are tested at turn-on, and if there's no charge, they'll come on again...

My Toyota LE van 1985 displayed three warning lights after engine started. Removed alternator and discovered badly burned brush. Slip ring was seriously burned; therefore, changed alternator. Strange phenomenon was when I revved engine to 3500, lights went out indicating an effort to charge.

when i start my '86 model f, from cold i notice that three warning lamps glow dimmly for a few miutes then go off any ideas? the lights are coolant level/ charge and oil. the alt belt is new and tensioned and charge rate across battery is fine. is there some kind of warning lamp module? or a common earth which could cause this? any help would be great. p.s great site, very useful

Thats a signal from the alternator. Belt new and tensioned - when installed does it require an adjustment? Rate charge fine when lights are glowing?
May need the alternator/regulator looking at.
Working ok now but there may come a time.....
Be thankful you have the alternator on the easy side...
