i have just removed the main radiator
and noticed that this also cools the transmission oil
will ihave too retop this if so where sounds thick i know just learning my way around.also anyone know a
easy way too get the rad back in real bitch too get out in first place had too cut hose r side on the front retaining spring clip facing down unable too reach. oh by the way rad repaired pressure tested

As far as I know, filling of the transmission fluid is via the gearbox dipstick. Fiddly - not arf! Had similar problem with a previous Subaru. Overcame problem by holding the dipstick so it was just over the tube then gently poured ATF on to top of dipstick. Capilliary action took it down the dipstick and into the tube. Now the tube in the Subaru was vertical, the Townie's isn't. It's going to require a lot of patience and steady hand. Any better ideas, answers on a postcard please ....
