Need filters and stuff for service on my townace, my garage says it cannot source them. I think it is there suppliers having problem.

Is my engine 3YE petrol not fitted to uk spacecruiser? and if so will parts not be same?

Chris, AFAIK the oil filter for the 3YE is the same as the 3Y engine as fitted to UK spec Spacecruisers. It points up rather than hanging down best removed from above. I suspect you have a square air filter which was common to a few EFI Toyota. If you have the drum shape one then the part nos listed in Ace Answers refer.
Toyota Uk will be able to give you the part numbers armed with these your garage should be able to source them - if that fails there is always Toyota. Toyota may be expensive but they always supply the goods...

I did replace all my filters and spark plugs last month (89 Townace super extra, 2.0P EFI, auto 4WD). All replacement were made with G.U.D. stuff (which is what's used in this part of the world, SE Africa). I did not throw away the Toyota original parts, therefore, if G.U.D has no meaning in the UK, let me know and I will copy the P/Ns from the old/original stuff back home (night job), instead.

I've seen dealers cross reference P/Ns in their catalogues with other makes, e.g. Oil Filter GUD Z257=Fram PH5124 for a 2C engine, so this might help if you don't across a clean list of parts to source from your local vendor.
